Galls, Diseases, and Pests - Leafminers : Oak Leaf Blotch Miner
Cameraria agrifoliella
These leafminers start with serpentine mines, but the mines quickly become tan-colored irregular shapes--called blotches. The leafminers feed just below the surface of the leaf.
Under the membrane is frass. Frass is what insect droppings are called.
